Lewiston, MN / September 4, 2014 –PlastiCert, a 33 year provider of innovative and service oriented plastic injection mold design and injection molding services announces that effective immediately Ben Ninas has been promoted to Director Operations and Lana Knabel has been promoted to Business Operations Supervisor.

Mr. Ninas, formerly the Director of Customer Advancement and Quality at PlastiCert, continues to increase his value to the organization. With past achievements including obtaining and maintaining ISO 9000 & UL Certification, his work with the customers and managing programs has been exemplary. Most recently we have applied his skills inward and he has helped institute new systems and goals on the production floor. “I’ve said it before, Ben is one of those gifted engineers that is technically knowledgeable, but also has keen business sense and communication skills” remarked PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter. “He works well with stakeholders both inside and outside our walls. He has a knack for sifting through the noise to get at the root of situations and enacting sensible and beneficial changes and revisions.”

Ben Ninas graduated from the only Composites Engineering Program in the country, taught locally at Winona State University. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Composite Materials Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He also holds a Lean Manufacturing Certification through Winona State University Continuing Education and has completed the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Winona course.

Ms. Knabel has worked at PlastiCert for over 10 years starting in general clerical work and over time assuming responsibilities in customer service/order entry, shipping & receiving, purchasing, production planning and production scheduling. Most recently, she has been assuming more responsibilities in Finance pertaining to A/R, A/P, as well as Personnel. “Lana has been such a key player in our success,” said Porter. “The customers always comment on their positive experience working with her. She has wisdom beyond her years and continues to master any tasks we throw at her.” In this role she will oversee and supervise the bulk of the front office activities working with PlastiCert’s Director of Finance and HR Robert Geesey.
