Lewiston, MN April 4, 2016 – PlastiCert, a 35-year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, announces being selected as the molder of choice for a new consumer sporting goods manufacturer looking to launch immediately.
After some engagement between engineering groups of the two firms, PlastiCert was ultimately selected for the seven mold/twenty-three components package from a list of three possible suppliers. While not the low bidder, PlastiCert was chosen for its ability to work with the OEM’s engineering as well as satisfy needs in manufacturing and mold optimization. Helping to sway the decision was PlastiCert’s expertise in the sporting goods area, with a history of working with high end fishing lure manufacturers, salt water and Muskie lures. “I’ve said it before, years ago we refocused on our customer mission. We emphasized partnering with our OEM customers early. Function on their team as their plastics expert and a necessary resource in their product development efforts. Our involvement has resulted in reduced time-to-market and more cost effective molds and parts. We don’t charge extra for it, it is a win-win for both our customer as well as us” remarked Craig Porter, President/Owner of PlastiCert. “In today’s ultra-competitive marketplace, some customers will heavily weigh the low price, while others, the ones we wish to engage with, recognize the value proposition. We stuck to our mission plan, believing that we are priced fairly for the level of service and amount of knowledge we bring to the table. This new customer learned what our established customers know; our value lies in high service and plastics knowledge.”
