Back in February 2013 PlastiCert, announced its largest month of business ever in its mold design and build group.
During December of 2012, PlastiCert launched and completed a level of mold design and build that resulted in the largest revenue month ever, 50% higher than the previous record. Spread across multiple long standing customers, the mold projects ranged from large to small, single cavity to multi-cavity and over-mold designs. Adding to that mark, January proved to be the second largest revenue month for the Mold Group at PlastiCert.
Success was attributed to our upgrade and training time on SolidWorks and Moldflow along with some strategic supplier partnerships and a little overtime.
PlastiCert prides itself with working closely with its partner customers on developing their part designs. This results in us simultaneously streamlining the mold design, reducing the mold overall cost and reducing the cost of the component part itself. Also providing a pathway to success is having both mold design and the injection molding both under one roof. Having the production input during mold design and development as well as the mold designers standing there when the mold is sampled and running first production helps meet deadlines and insures a smoother transition to production.
