Being part of the Community

Summer is the time for festivals, civic celebrations, and fundraisers. Our area is no exception. Our small town being at the geographic center of our county, holds Heartland Days at the end of June. PlastiCert is a Diamond sponsor of the event, providing both monetary support, voluntary support, and entries into the parade, (we support the Shriner community by sponsoring two different entries into the parade, the Daddy O’s and the Cycle Patrol).

As we declare in our PlastiCert mission statement and within our website, we recognize that PlastiCert is not alone in doing business but we rely on the surrounding area for coworkers, infrastructure and economic development support. It is only right that we not only participate in our community but contribute and help build on its successes.

We participate in numerous golf outings that serve as fund raising events for various organizations in the area. Included in those are the Scholarship tournament for the Winona State University Composite Materials Engineering program. Also, on our slate this year is a benefit for an organization that serves and reconciles teens & families. End of Summer, we will help plan and participate in a Scholarship tournament for the Composite Materials Engineering major at Winona State University. Lastly, we will be a gold level sponsor as well as enter two teams to play in an Osman Shrine Benefit tournament that will help the Osman Shrine Auxiliary’s wheelchair fund for use at Shriner’s Clinics and Hospitals.

June is Dairy month in these parts, so we are both a financial sponsor and purchasing dairy bags from both the local Lewiston Altura FFA group, as well as the Farming committee for the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce.

All summer long, our community holds a Farmers Market/Family Night out at the Crossings Center. PlastiCert is a PREMIERE SEASON SPONSOR for this year’s 15 event nights. Local farmers, growers, and producers as well as bakers and artisans offer their products to attendees. Live Music, famous wood-fired pizza, ice cream, slushies, craft beer and wine highlight the event. New are rotating food trucks to bring new food options to patrons.

So, when we say our mission is: to service our customers with composite injection molding expertise; in an environment that fosters personal growth, professional challenge, and a recognized responsibility to the community around us, we truly mean it. Our PlastiCert coworkers attend these events with pride, and we are a better community when everyone, (even corporations) participates.
