Charity, and EOS Golf

During this “end of summer” week, PlastiCert will be sponsoring teams and donating items for two separate causes.

Last Sunday, PlastiCert sponsored two teams for the Shrine Auxiliary’s 7th annual golf tournament, benefitting Shriner’s Children’s Hospital and their wheelchair fund. Besides the teams and hole sponsorship, PlastiCert donated gift cards and swag to be offered up as event and door prizes.

On Thursday (as you receive this in your inbox), we will be participating in the Winona State University Composite Materials Engineering (CME) Scholarship Fundraiser golf outing. Again, aside from the team and hole sponsorship, PlastiCert will be donating door prize items to be given away to participants. A twist this year is that PlastiCert will be paying the fees for two Seniors in the CME program play to with us in the tournament. Getting these “soon to be graduating” students out into a business-like setting is an important addition to their making the transition to the working world! Spending time amongst fellow professionals outside the confines of the building is a team skill set that needs to be nurtured along with meetings and office decorum. Yes, the “business golf outing” has long been a business-like setting!

We’ve been posting about the event for some time, so hopefully we will see you out there. Enjoying time with fellow professionals, getting some fresh air, making business connections, and raising money to help more students just like our teammates progress toward their degree.

Wish us luck!
