Comfort Zones, nice or limiting?
We all know about comfort zones; we encounter them in our personal lives and in our professional lives. Some like to stay in them, some test them all the time, some do it occasionally.
A few weeks ago, I got to step out of mine personally, refereeing a championship swim meet. One of our regular team members could not make it. Traditionally he did the National Anthem routine on Saturday night. I volunteered to take his place.

We test our comfort zones here at PlastiCert too.
Parts we were told would warp when we made it.
Parts we were told could not be overmolded.
Parts that other molders couldn’t make and the mold was sent to us.
The mold a customer recalled from an Eastern European or Chinese molder and asked if we can run it.
It is a risk to tell a customer you will try to make them the part they want when you’ve been told it cannot or should not be done.
But that is why we are here. To get you the parts you need to satisfy your customers’ problems.
Have a part your molder complains about?
Have a part a molder said you have to perform secondary operations on to get it to a configuration you need?
Give us a call. We step out of our comfort zone on a regular basis. Even kind of enjoy when we do!
