PlastiCert acquires 150 Ton Injection Molding Press
Lewiston, MN December 19, 2012 – PlastiCert, a 31 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, acquired a 150 ton press to better service customers.
PlastiCert recently acquired a Toyo TM-150G2 Injection molding press and is in the process of installing and qualifying it for use in production. Acquired during a recent auction of a shuttered manufacturing plant, the press will be used to both augment capacity in that part/mold size category as well as provide critical back-up capability for molds already in use on similar presses.
In addition to the press, PlastiCert also acquired numerous pieces of auxiliary and secondary operation equipment. “We are looking at some decent growth possibilities for 2013”, remarked President and Owner Craig Porter. “This press will help augment capacity and allow back-up planning. The auxiliary equipment included everything from mold heaters to a dust collector, a hydraulic lift, platform staircase, die tables and carts, lots of things that will allow us to do more with less. Our people will enjoy making use of it but most importantly added efficiency means lower cost which adds even more to our customer value proposition!”
