Lewiston, MN June 20, 2014 – PlastiCert, a 33 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, has recently added a Manufacturing Engineer to help manage double digit growth.

PlastiCert is excited to announce the addition of Zachary Block to our Operations group as a Manufacturing Engineer. Zach’s responsibilities will revolve around helping manage the increased workload from double-digit revenue growth. PlastiCert has numerous projects ramping up from existing customers, as well as new work from connections established through our marketing and sales efforts.

“We are excited to add Zach to our technical team” cited Craig Porter, President and Owner of PlastiCert. “We were told by the Department Head at Winona State University that Zach was a premier candidate from this graduating class. Not only well educated in the material sciences that WSU Composites teaches so well, Zach is mechanically gifted and arrived experienced in Solidworks CAD software. He will be an invaluable contributor to our continuous improvement efforts both in mold build and in injection molding.”

Zachary was on the Dean’s list all 4 years while progressing through the Composites Engineering Program at Winona State University. Helping to lead the University’s COMTEC Lab providing testing and analysis services to companies throughout the US, he also participated in biodegradable composites research with WSU faculty. His work was integral to developing findings that were presented at the Society of Plastic Engineers Automotive Composites Conference Exhibition (SPE ACCE) in September of 2012 where an award was won for the research.
