Lewiston, MN January 6, 2021 – PlastiCert, a veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services for 40 years, announces that they have recently taken delivery of TWO new injection molding presses.

PlastiCert’s new Cincinnati Milacron 200 Ton and 315 Ton Injection molding presses were delivered and installed in late December.

In conjunction with the arrivals of these two new presses, multiple older presses were divested of, and the production floor was rearranged for efficiency and lean flow

These two presses represent the culmination of a nearly $1.5 Million dollar investment in PlastiCert’s future. Back in 2017, PlastiCert’s President & Owner drafted and committed to a Capitol Improvement Plan that would essentially replace every piece of major equipment in the company over the next 4 years. Also included in those plans would be the repurchase of the company’s facility and a possible expansion of that facility.

“Since adoption of our plan, we have systematically replaced all the major equipment in our tool shop, value add area and injection molding floor”, remarked Craig W. Porter President and Owner. “Once we achieved a debt free status after our management buyout in 2011, I committed to providing our people the equipment they need to maintain their high level of proficiency. They have already achieved many awards and received recognition numerous times. Having acquired all this equipment, we are even more capable, and we can achieve even loftier goals. Our reputation as a highly capable mold design, mold build and molder of engineered composites components for small and medium volume programs was achieved before we did all this”, Porter exclaimed. “The future looks VERY bright as we look to provide our customers with molding capabilities that allow them to meet THEIR customers’ ever evolving needs”.
