PlastiCert opens its doors for Manufacturing Month
Lewiston, MN October 29, 2019 – PlastiCert, a veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services for nearly 40 years, hosted visitors as a part of Manufacturing Month.
PlastiCert participated in the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce’s Manufacturing Month Tours. All during October, the Chamber featured manufacturing entities large and small, making everything from canoes and paddles, to stain glass works of art, spices, winches, electronics and of course, injection molding.
“We’re always happy to put ourselves and our operation on display”, commented President and Owner Craig Porter. “While we were a Chamber Small Business Achievement Award winner back in 2011, and have received Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Workplace Flexibility in 2013 & 2015 through the Chamber’s sponsorship; with turnover in area businesses and movement within organizations, there are always new people to introduce to PlastiCert”.
After a brief introduction to PlastiCert, its origins, age and introduction to the Winona area, Porter talked about the PlastiCert business model. The short and medium volume types of molding and value add programs that are run, the relationship with customers having both the mold design shop and the injection molding under one roof, and the numbers and types of customers that PlastiCert services. Lastly, PlastiCert let them know about the industry recognition they have achieved like the World Class Processor designation in 2015 and National Top Shop declaration just recently in 2019.
