Lewiston, MN December 23, 2013 – PlastiCert, a 32 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, worked with its co-workers to participate in Gifts for Winona.

PlastiCert notified co-workers at its monthly all-co-worker meeting that it would be helping them participate in Gifts for Winona. Co-workers were encouraged to go and select a tag from one of the trees located around the area. The program’s main priority is to provide gifts to children 18 years of age and younger and individuals 60 years of age and older. Each tag is labeled with specific gift ideas and information. This year, the recommended amount for gifts is approximately $35 per person. Co-workers could get the gifts requested and bring the receipt back to PlastiCert for reimbursement. The wrapped gifts were then returned to where the tag was obtained so it could be delivered to the family in need.

Gifts for Winona is a community-wide gift-giving program and was started in 2001 by a committee of Saint Mary’s University staff. Its first year, the program helped more than 1,200 people. Now nearly 2,000 requests are handled annually.

“It is a great program that the people at Saint Mary’s University started,” commented Craig Porter, President and Owner of PlastiCert. “Helping our co-workers participate in this great cause is what the holiday season is all about. “

After reimbursing gifts and making a separate donation, over half of the co-workers at PlastiCert participated in the program.
