PlastiCert – We’re a Plast…. no a Composite Injection Mold and Molding Provider

We are taught to have the 30 second elevator speech prepared. To communicate who PlastiCert is, what services we provide and how we can benefit a prospective customer manufacturing OEM. For years I opened with our being a plastic injection molder. Years ago, I changed that to a description least often heard. More accurately, we are a composites injection mold designer/ builder and molder.

The landscape is lousy with plastic injection molders, primarily from the Midwest, following the rust belt through Wisconsin, around Chicago and past Indiana and into Pennsylvania. PlastiCert has very little in common with the vast majority of those molders for two simple reasons.

The first is that we excel at small and medium volume production runs. What is low and medium volume? Annual quantities of thousands of parts. Our typical production work order is for 3,000 parts. I have been quoted as saying “PlastiCert hates high volume production opportunities”. It is true, send me an inquiry trying to get my attention claiming that the part volumes will be in the millions and I will reply “not interested”.

Secondly, the vast majority of the components we mold are made using engineered resins, or composites. We excel at molding parts with difficult processes; high temperature, insert molding, over molding, and/or a combination of any/all of those. Avionics, military, marine, telecom, industrial, agricultural; the difficult environmental requirement OEMs come to us.

So next time you see me, I should be rid of the stutter and clearly respond to “who is PlastiCert”? We are a Composites Injection Molder, specializing in low to medium volume, difficult to mold composite parts. We speed your time to market through knowledgeable and efficient mold design and build, engineered sampling and then maintaining a quality low and medium volume production flow.

Have a difficult part? Give us a call or email. With over 40 years of experience under our belt, we have likely seen the issue before.
