TBT-Craig Porter joined the Board of Directors of the 7 Rivers Alliance.

This week in 2015, PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter was recruited and joined the Board of Directors of the 7 Rivers Alliance.

The 7 Rivers Alliance is a regional leadership group that boosts economic growth by fostering collaboration in western Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota, and northeast Iowa. They are persistent and consistent advocates for keeping communication open and developing regional networks in the Upper Mississippi Valley through regional meetings and networking events. The 7 Rivers Alliance brings together public and private resources to forge entrepreneurial growth and serves as a clearinghouse of vital information to enhance quality of life in the region. Area leaders understood the connection that exists between the natural beauty and recreational opportunities in the region and the way in which it inspires leaders to launch and grow businesses. It is this connection to the natural beauty of the region that drives our love and loyalty to the area. The Board of Directors consists of the region’s top business leaders. They understand the importance of investing their time and their company resources to attract like businesses to the region to collaborate and help each other learn, grow and build upon the natural loyalty to the area.

Since then, the 7 Rivers Alliance has participated in International Competitiveness Exchanges, held numerous events throughout the 7 Rivers Region with topics on tourism, economic development, revitalizing storefronts, workforce recruiting and talent management, housing assessments, and more.

Their latest efforts involve spearheading a regional workforce innovation program called WISE and participating in a Wisconsin INSPIRE program creating Academic Career Pathways for high school students.
