WHO WE ARE
A vertically integrated molding partner in Lewiston, Minnesota
PlastiCert is a custom injection molder built for recurring programs where materials, inserts, tolerances or tooling challenges require more than a basic build-to-print relationship.
Customers often come to us after another molder has struggled to produce consistent parts, after a raw-material supplier recommends our team, or when their engineers need a responsive domestic manufacturing partner for a new or transferred program.
We bring engineering support, mold design, an in-house tool shop, production and quality together under one roof. That structure helps our team investigate the entire system—not just adjust one process setting—and gives customers a direct path from a difficult question to a manufacturable answer.

A 55-ton Milacron press expands PlastiCert’s overlapping production capacity for smaller, complex components.
HOW WE SUPPORT YOUR TEAM
One partner to engineer, produce and recover demanding programs
Our value is greatest when the program crosses functional boundaries. PlastiCert connects design guidance, tooling decisions, molding knowledge and validation so your team can move forward with fewer handoffs.
01
Engineer
We support design-for-manufacturability reviews, material-performance discussions, mold-flow analysis, mold design and reverse engineering. We do not replace your product-design team; we help it understand what is practical to mold and sustain in production.
02
Produce
Experienced operators, overlapping press sizes and process discipline support recurring low- to mid-volume production using complex engineered resins, inserts and value-added operations.
03
Recover
When an existing program is not meeting expectations, we evaluate the tool, process and part requirements together. Our team supports mold transfers, root-cause analysis, tool repair and modification, controlled sampling and production validation.
EXPERIENCE WHERE IT MATTERS
People who understand the press, the mold and the part
Complex molding depends on judgment at every stage. Our operators and toolmakers apply practical experience to setup, insert loading, process control, mold maintenance and problem solving.

Process experience at the press
Experienced technicians protect process consistency while keeping production moving.

Capacity across the press floor
A 55- to 500-ton Milacron fleet supports a broad range of complex components and program needs.

Toolmaking under the same roof
Our in-house tool shop builds, repairs, modifies and maintains molds to support the full production system.

QUALITY AS A PRODUCTION TOOL
Inspection supports decisions, not just documentation
PlastiCert’s ISO 9001:2015 quality system provides the controlled foundation for consistent manufacturing. Dimensional inspection, process documentation and shared measurement methods help our team confirm that the part, tool and customer requirements are aligned.
Quality data is especially important during new program launches, mold transfers and troubleshooting. It allows engineering and production teams to distinguish part variation from measurement variation and make changes based on evidence.

COMMON QUESTIONS
About PlastiCert
What does PlastiCert do?
PlastiCert provides custom plastic injection molding, engineering support, mold design, in-house toolmaking, insert molding, mold transfer services, quality inspection and value-added manufacturing for complex recurring programs.
Where is PlastiCert located?
PlastiCert is located in Lewiston, Minnesota, near the Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa region. We support manufacturers throughout the Midwest and across the United States.
How long has PlastiCert been in business?
PlastiCert was established in 1981 and has more than 45 years of injection molding and tooling experience.
What types of programs are the best fit for PlastiCert?
PlastiCert is best suited to recurring low- to mid-volume programs where engineered resins, inserts, tight functional requirements, tooling challenges or value-added operations benefit from close engineering and manufacturing collaboration. We are not positioned as a high-volume, lowest-piece-price commodity molder.
Can PlastiCert work with an existing injection mold?
Yes. PlastiCert evaluates transferred molds, identifies tooling and process concerns, recommends appropriate repairs or modifications, performs work through its in-house tool shop and uses controlled sampling and validation before production. The right plan depends on the condition of the mold and the program requirements.
Is PlastiCert ISO certified?
Yes. PlastiCert maintains an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
