Not Just a Pretty Face
Not all plastic injection molders are cut from the same cloth.
A significant amount of the plastic resin used in the world is for food and item packaging applications. After that, there are MANY lower cost, higher usage items, many are disposable using EXTREMELY low cost resins. In that world, high volume (500,000 – 1M lot sizes), and inexpensive resins arriving by the train carload are the norm.
Here at PlastiCert, we are not “the norm.” First and foremost, we specialize in making short and medium volume orders. We make lot sizes of 1,000, 3,000, even 5,000 regularly. We also make lot sizes of 150 sometimes if that is what the customer requires. That doesn’t mean we make 25,000 and then ship from stock, (unless that is how the customer wants to manage it).
Secondly, and even more important, We predominately work with engineered composites or “High Performance Plastics” which are also considered “composites”. It is a skill set that few outlets teach. In fact, PlastiCert is located near Winona State University, which offers the ONLY Composite Materials Undergraduate Degree program in the nation. Knowing what you are molding with, how it is going to react under temperatures and pressures, is a huge differentiator in getting your new mold and parts working and REDUCING time to market for YOU and your company.
PlastiCert is the PRIMARY source for complex parts using engineered composites throughout our entire customer base. We are in fact the first call they make when they contemplate a new part that will be used in demanding applications or conditions. PlastiCert is their Go TO source for material selection and design for molding input. Do just take us for our word, look what the industry thinks!
We have won multiple awards bearing out the fact that we excel at who we are and what we do.
