Change is STILL Good, yet……..

It is finally over, yes the presidential election cycle. While not totally resolved, the majority of the races have been called. Most, me included, are giving thanks that the political ads and commercials will cease immediately. Here at PlastiCert, there is another reason for looking forward to the post-election season, injection mold tooling orders.

Going back 20 years, presidential election years see an average drop of 21% in tooling revenue. The year following a presidential election? An average increase in tooling dollars of 83%!!!

Yes, change equates to uncertainty, and not knowing which party will be governing prods companies into will be watching and waiting. Yet the White House has changed parties 3 times in that period, (not including this year) yet we still saw huge increases after all but one election year, regardless of which party prevailed. (That one election year our customers did not seem to want to wait).

I have blogged numerous times about change being good, (you can search our blog list). Post election years are no exception, for PlastiCert. Historically, it is not a down year, it is a procrastination year!

My advice to you customers and soon to be customers, CALL NOW. Our mold design group WILL be busy, you might want to get your place in line up front!!
