Getting OVER the small things

One of the more frequent services we are asked about is overmolding or two shot molding. Seems people are of the opinion it doesn’t work for smaller volume programs. That sentiment is based in the thought that it requires expensive tooling and specialized presses to overmold a plastic over a base metal or another plastic.

PlastiCert is a small and medium volume molder, and we do a significant amount of overmolding. We do it with the conventional presses we have and work the tooling issue to keep capital expenditures down using the two shot method.

We overmold metals, plastics, and wires.

Two overmolds in one – A shaft and dual magnet carrier that is then overmolded with the vanes in PPO.

We apply a covering of flexible gasketing material over hard plastics.
