How about some Pi with that?

This week, we celebrated Pi Day as did millions of others.

As engineers, we can appreciate the mathematical quirk, for any number of reasons.

As engineering students, we had to take an inordinate amount of math classes, enough to obtain a Math Minor in some cases,

As engineers, to know that there is one problem, the exact area or circumference of a circle, that CANNOT EVER be solved is under appreciated.

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. (I’ve remembered Pi is 3.14159 for as long as I can remember taking math, which goes way back into elementary school days).

Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and eat pie.  https://www.piday.org/

So, March 14th we brought in pizza Pi for everyone at PlastiCert, as well as three different Pis to have for dessert, (Strawberry Rhubarb, Apple, French Silk). What is your favorite flavor Pi?

Celebrating things is part of being a cohesive team. There is always something to celebrate if you look around.

Celebrate Pi Day over at your place? If not, maybe you should think about joining us at PlastiCert. As a coworker or a supply chain customer. You can stop by for any of our celebrations! Like, March 14th, you know we’ll be eating pie!!
