PlastiCert announces promotions and reorganization

Lewiston, MN March 30, 2022 – PlastiCert, a veteran of innovative and quality composite injection molding celebrating 41 years of molding success, announces that two key individuals have been promoted.

Effective immediately, Ben Ninas has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Engineering and Business Development. Lana Knabel has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.These two key individuals will head all operations within the company as it is reorganized under being either a Technical or Non-Technical business function.

Ben joined PlastiCert in 2003 as its MN Facility Quality Manager. He was instrumental in attaining ISO 9000 Certification and has been a rising star ever since. In his latest role, Ben will oversee all technical/engineering functions within PlastiCert including Business Development. “Ben has proven to be one of those engineers that can also communicate well”, commented Craig Porter PlastiCert President and Owner. “Both existing, and more importantly, prospective customers can talk with Ben about their molding needs, and he can help them envision how we can get things done together. He is credited with our recent growth  in revenues and new customers. Manufacturing Engineering, Production Set-up technicians, and the Mold Design and Build shop will all flourish and grow under his leadership. Ben is a thermoplastic materials expert and has helped shepherd our customers’ products to market. Even a few that resin suppliers told Ben could not be done.”

Lana has been with PlastiCert since 2003. She has literally worked in almost every role in manufacturing which made her a natural to head up human resources. In her new role, Lana will be responsible for all non-engineering operations within PlastiCert. All efforts surrounding the making of products to satisfying customer orders including order entry, purchasing, materials management, production scheduling, manufacturing staff, as well as her previous responsibilities for human resources and finance. “Lana is the most capable person I have worked with across the dozen or so companies I have been at”, said Porter. “Ascending from an entry level hire, she has learned everything asked of her and excelled at satisfying our customers’ schedules, managing purchasing, scheduling, coworker benefits and accounting.”
