Lewiston, MN September 7, 2012 – PlastiCert, a 31 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, announces being selected as the molder of choice for a new internet connected electronic consumer product being launched after the first of the year.

Brought into the picture by an electronic manufacturing services (EMS) partner, PlastiCert was ultimately selected for the seven mold/thirteen components package for its ability to work with the OEM’s design partner on design for manufacturing and mold optimization. “Years ago, we refocused on our customer mission. We emphasized partnering with our OEM customers to utilize us as an expert and resource in their product development efforts. Our involvement has resulted in reduced time-to-market and more cost effective molds and parts. For us, participating in the part design to optimize both the mold design and the part for production is part of our package. We don’t charge extra for it, it is a win-win for both our customer as well as us” remarked Craig Porter, President/Owner of PlastiCert. “In today’s ultra-competitive marketplace, sometimes customers will jump at a low price. We stuck to our mission plan, believing that we are priced fairly for the level of service and amount of knowledge we bring to the table. This new customer learned what our established ones know; our value lies in high service and plastics knowledge”.

PlastiCert was founded in 1981 and is a privately held corporation with headquarters and manufacturing in Lewiston Minnesota.
