PlastiCert attends customer’s supplier conference
Lewiston, MN December 10, 2012 – PlastiCert, a 31 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, was present December 5 -7, 2012 for a key customer’s worldwide supplier conference held at their headquarters location.
PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter, along with Director of Customer Advancement Ben Ninas were in attendance at the hosted conference. Meeting with customer staff and attending a day long vision and implementation conference, PlastiCert was one of 120 companies from a direct and indirect supply base exceeding 9,000 worldwide. “It’s always a plus to talk over strategy and vision topics face-to-face”, remarked Porter. “For us, having PlastiCert be regarded that highly in a partner’s long term plans is both humbling and invigorating.” The customer set down expectations for future metrics which included the usual quality and delivery measures, but also new metrics around how much interaction and contribution you participate in on improvements and cost reductions. “We sat back and kind of nodded during that portion”, Ninas commented. “We are already at 100% On-time Delivery and a 6 ppm Quality level but more importantly, we have been contributing input on cost reductions and improvements for years now. It sounded like their desire is to bring other suppliers up to the level we have been maintaining for some time. ”
