PlastiCert attends Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region

Lewiston, MN October 1, 2015 – PlastiCert, a 34-year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, recently attended the ECONOMIC INDICATORS: AN UPDATE FOR THE 7 RIVERS REGION.

PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter attended the semi-annual Economic Indicators gathering at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The event is presented by the UW-L Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation along with Security State Bank, the UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration, and the La Crosse Tribune. Dr. TJ Brooks, Professor of Economics at UW-L presented his update on the core 7 Rivers Region economic indicators with the focus of his research being higher education: highlighting its changing economics, how it relates to workforce development and the economic returns derived from higher education. Following his presentation was local attorney Brent Smith talking about the impact of educational facilities on the local economy. Lastly, was a panel, comprised of new to the area business leaders. The President & CEO of Security State Bank, the Dean of Business Administration at UW-L, and the Editor of the La Crosse Tribune talking about the relationship between higher education and the local economy.
