PlastiCert loves upsets

The NCAA Basketball tournaments are underway and to date there have been numerous upsets, some ruining millions of people’s brackets! As of this writing, of 56 games, on the men’s side, 25% saw a double-digit seed beat a single digit seed, and over 30% of the games had a lesser seed beat the better seed. On the women’s side fewer big upsets up still 20% of the time a lesser seed prevailed over a better seed.

How could that happen? In some cases, maybe the better seed underestimated their opponent. In others, the lesser seed just was not as well known by the experts and were not assessed correctly.

That is why we love upsets here at PlastiCert. Every year it helps drive home the point that bigger or more well-known is not always better. Because here in industry, the very same holds true.

We have been growing here at PlastiCert by exceeding expectations and doing things others bigger or better known were not able to do. Existing customers are typically dual sourced. Yet we end up inheriting programs that were not sourced to us originally. Primarily because the other supplier could not figure out how to process the part. In some cases, we need to make mold modifications to facilitate processing. Other times it is having more insight to the engineered resin that is being used. Bottom line, we provide solutions to problems that have caused low yields or high costs.

We have been transitioning in other peoples’ problems for 20 years, how about you? Have a part that is always late for unknown reasons? Seeing price increases due to unforeseen processing issues? Give us a call or send us an email.

We will get you to the winners bracket!
