PlastiCert participates in fundraising golf event
Lewiston, MN August 5, 2013 – PlastiCert, a 32 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, recently helped raise funds for the Lewiston-Altura Spanish Club’s upcoming trip to Europe.
On Friday evening August 2nd, members of the PlastiCert Team turned out to help send some high school students to Europe. The Lewiston-Altura High School Spanish Program set out a goal of raising funds to send students to Spain. PlastiCert participated as a “Gold Sponsor” contributing funds toward helping them reach their goal.
Participating were Production Lead Cory Schmitz, Set-up Technician Nate Mraz, Tooling Manager Dean Rupprecht, and President/Owner Craig Porter. The tournament being a Best Ball Scramble format, PlastiCert used their teamwork skills to produce a 3rd place tie along with Nate winning the most accurate drive contest. “Anytime we can go out and spend some quality time together outside of the plant and help out a good cause like this is a win-win in my book”, commented Porter. “These students will gain experiences I never got to until I was an adult and that will be of great benefit to them as they strive toward future goals.” As a follow on to their sponsorship, LAHS will invite PlastiCert to a Sponsor’s Banquet upon the students’ return. There the team will get to see and hear about the Students’ experiences traveling through Spain.
