PlastiCert President delivers keynote address at manufacturing conference.

Lewiston, MN October 2, 2014 – PlastiCert, a 33 year veteran of innovative and quality plastic injection molding design and manufacturing services, reports its President and Owner Craig Porter presented the morning keynote address to the 7th Annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

On October 1, PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter gave the keynote address at the 7th Annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference. Hosted by the UW-Stout Manufacturing Outreach Center, the conference brings together manufacturing professionals from throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. They participate in discussions and hear presentations about burning issues and hot topics for manufacturers including; Exploring Alternative Strategies for cost Effective Healthcare for your Business, Workforce Challenges including Engagement, Empowerment, Skills Gap; and Energy Conservation Incentives and Best Practices.

Porter was presenting on Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility, reflecting on PlastiCert’s experiences winning the 2103 Sloan Award from the Families and Work Institute. His talk included experiences with work place flexibility over his career and the circumstances around PlastiCert’s applying and subsequent winning the Sloan Award as a manufacturing company. He presented a number of the questions from the application to emphasize the levels of flexibility being considered. He wrapped up by predicting future competition for employees and the flexibility provided by traditional 8-5 office environments will be the standard of flexibility manufacturers will need to rise to and exceed.
