PlastiCert President/Owner presented with national award
Lewiston, MN April 22, 2020 – PlastiCert, approaching 40 years of innovative and quality composite injection molding design and manufacturing services, celebrates amateur athleticism. We encourage staff to embrace that part of our mission statement that calls for “a recognized responsibility to the community around us”.
Craig W. Porter, PlastiCert’s President and Owner was recently recognized with a Swimming Official Excellence Award.
The Officials Excellence Award is presented every two months from nominations across the country, to honor an outstanding LSC (Local Swimming Committee) official for their contributions to local swimming. Coordinated through USA Swimming, the award is sponsored by Swimming World magazine and Hasty Awards. Officials are nominated by state and regional LSC Official Chairs and the selection is made by USA Swimming’s National Officials Committee.
“Considering how many thousands of USA Swimming Officials there are across the country, all of them selflessly giving of their time and talent, it is truly humbling to be a recipient of this honor”, commented Porter. “I’ve been officiating for over 17 years now. In terms of giving back for the positive experience diving in high school and college provided me, I don’t think I have yet given back enough. The positive skills and traits resulting from my participation on high school and college swim & dive teams was very influential on my development and a positive influence as I set out on my adult path forward.”
PlastiCert encourages all its co-workers to find something they are passionate about and accommodates their getting involved. PlastiCert also has youth baseball and basketball coaches as well as volunteers at other youth activities. PlastiCert works to accommodate their scheduling needs to fulfill those volunteer responsibilities.
