PlastiCert promotes Ben Ninas
PlastiCert, a 31-year provider of innovative and service oriented plastic injection mold design and injection molding services announces that effective immediately Ben Ninas has been promoted to Director of Customer Development and Quality Systems.
Mr. Ninas, formerly the Quality Control Manager at PlastiCert, has been instrumental in helping PlastiCert recover from the 2008 economic downturn to its present standing of exceeding pre-recession revenue levels. Previously, Ninas spearheaded PlastiCert’s work to obtain ISO 9001 certification, maintaining it effectively for eight years. He also implemented an operator based quality responsibility system that has resulted in 0.8, 0.3 & 0.6% of revenue customer reject/returns in 2009, 10& 11 respectively.
Taking over the quotation and business package modeling some time ago, in the last 5 years Ninas has become increasingly interactive with the customer base. “Ben is one of those gifted engineers that is technically knowledgeable, but also has keen business sense and communication skills” commented PlastiCert President and Owner Craig Porter. “He has been working with both the Engineering and Purchasing representatives at existing and prospective customers and doing a great job of communicating our message, that we are an extension of their own production floor and a technical resource to be used to advance their objectives”.
Ninas graduated from the only Composites Engineering Program in the country, taught locally at Winona State University. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Composite Materials Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He also holds a Lean Manufacturing Certification through Winona State University Continuing Education and has completed the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Winona course.
PlastiCert was founded in 1981 and is a privately held corporation with headquarters and manufacturing in Lewiston Minnesota.
