The holidays are a time to feel the spirit of the season while giving thanks and reflecting. PlastiCert has had a truly positive year.
PlastiCert achieved its ISO 9001-2015 certification, added two new pieces of equipment in following its capital improvement plan and added 3 new customers to the list of OEMs that we work with. We are exploring an expansion of our manufacturing space through either building on or moving. Our average employee tenure number continues to climb, across all full time coworkers, the average tenure is 10.27 years!
Having anticipated positive results, we spent the year looking for opportunities to give back.
PlastiCert emphasized where it fits into the local community. PlastiCert committed to help refurbish a community park that has been closed off from the public for safety concerns. We participated in programs assisting the local EMT group and volunteer fire department, the local school system, the Holiday Giving Tree gift program and the annual 5K run benefitting the American Cancer Society. PlastiCert reaffirmed our commitment to education in numerous ways. We were a planning team member and major participant in an engineering scholarship program for the local university, donated funds toward new equipment purchases at the local technical college, donated to the local high school’s high mileage vehicle competition team and fall athlete homecoming dinner and provided tours to career investigation classes and participated numerous times in the local chamber’s “CEO In The Classroom” project, talking to 8th graders about preparing for the move to High School and using the upcoming years to help prepare for their career aspirations. Additionally countless volunteer hours were donated to numerous causes. All told PlastiCert donated over 4x the national average for corporate giving and were happy doing so.
We believe in abiding by our mission statement:
The mission of PlastiCert is to service our customers with plastic injection molding expertise; in an environment that fosters personal growth, professional challenge and a recognized responsibility to the community around us.
