Things are buzzing at PlastiCert
The Industrial Production and Capacity Utilization number were released today. They were coined as “disappointing” because the increase was only 1.4% vs an expected 2.7%. Capacity Utilization followed that disappointing moniker with 74.4 reported vs an expected 75.7. https://www.federalreserve.gov/releases/g17/Current/default.htm Both those reported numbers were pretty much the same as the prior month’s numbers.
We here at PlastiCert were truly surprised to see and hear those results. We are, well, beyond busy. We are up 17% YOY for our first quarter molding revenues. As for the mold shop, well, let us just say it is the biggest 1st QTR (by a long shot) we have seen in over ten years.
We recognize that we may be in the minority here, but we also recognize that success breeds success. The lion’s share of our increased business is from existing customers that awarded us new molds and molding based upon our past performance.
In addition to winning new molds from existing customers, we received in some molds from other suppliers, both domestic AND foreign, that were not fulfilling expectations and customers turned to us to get things back on track.
Questioning your supplier’s commitment or technical ability to take you where you want to go? Give us a call! We have the capacity and even more important, the capability to make molds and injection molding something you never concern yourself with.
