Remember who you are and where you came from
A quote from the Lion King, and applicable to real life. This week PlastiCert will again celebrate our Founder’s birthday which is this Saturday.
Howard Ysteboe was a Renaissance man, an engineer and a businessman. He led PlastiCert to be widely successful. His engineering skills made PlastiCert a leader in the areas of insert molding, micromolding, and molding difficult parts using engineered resins. He oversaw the mold design and subsequent molding of complex insert molded connectors. He perfected the processing of micro molded parts that would look like a spec on the tip of your finger.
He was an engineer first, but also a shrewd businessman. His floor hummed cranking out parts while he managed the company and customer relationships necessary to grow the company. He was one of the first molding businesses to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software package tying the operational side of molding to the finance and accounting side of manufacturing.
23 years since his passing, we like to think that we honor Howard by continuing to shine at both the technical AND business side of injection molding. The combination of winning FOUR Plastics Technology Top Shop awards, TWO When Work Works HR Management awards AND having financial metrics that are the envy of our industry, we carry on his legacy of doing the difficult molding jobs in a controlled and well-run environment. We think he would be very pleased to see our performance metrics, excelling on the technical aspects but also, finance, business, and HR side.

Monday we’ll have pastries in the morning like we do for all birthdays at PlastiCert. Instead of birthday greetings, we’ll look upward and say a little thanks. Thanking Howard for laying groundwork for us to continue the legacy of providing our customers with the technical competency they require in a business environment that keeps us sustainable.
Need that kind of commitment for your product’s components? Give us a call. We remember who we are, by remembering Howard. His spirit lives on in PlastiCert’s continued successes.
