Employee Appreciation Day
Observed on the first Friday in March, it is meant for employers to give thanks or recognition to their employees. An author created it initially to celebrate the publication of his latest book on rewarding employees. Its main theme is reminding employers to thank their employees when they do excellent work. (I actually have his book on the shelf in my office!)
So, it is no surprise that we not only embrace the concept but live it on a continual basis.
If you read our newsletter/blog posts, you know that we celebrate and honor our coworkers (I prefer that term to employees) on a regular basis.
We do go offsite for our summer and winter/holiday celebrations. Typically, we are onsite with biweekly grill outs in the summer or catered in meals for various celebrations when the temps get colder.
So, for this year’s Coworker Appreciation Day, we are going out to lunch. Senior staff members will be taking groups out for lunch this week. Give them a chance to sit down at a table together, talk about things, (hopefully little or nothing about work) and just spend time together but expressing our appreciation for the excellent work they do to make out customers successful. We take heart in our motto of Our job is making our customers look good in their job.
Does your injection molder deliver quality and value? Do they excel at making YOU look good and allow you to spend your time fixing OTHER basket case suppliers?
