If you know what a King Cake is, raise your hand!

It is the last weekend before Mardi Gras, and there are lots of celebrations going on around the country including here in Winona. Our own Gate City Dixieland Jazz Band will be performing at Jefferson’s in Winona. You can find the details here: http://www.winonadixieland.webs.com/

Having had the honor of marching in a few Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, you know what the real tradition is about. Regardless of what you have seen on TV, the true celebration is about family and friends, parades and music, focused around having a good time before the Lenten season starts. So break out your purple, green, and gold, check your calendar of events and go out to a local event, Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
